The Double Tree Hotel in San Jose is a convention hall also this year. There is a San Jose international airport in front of the hotel. |

| This is a view from the tenth floor of the hotel. There is a San Jose international airport on the other side of the building, and the takeoff and landing of the aircraft is seen. There are a warm water pool and a jacuzzi in the courtyard, and participants of the convention are swimming in the pool. |
| ホテル10階からの眺め。分かりにくいですが、ビルの向うにサンノゼ国際空港があり、航空機の離着陸が見えます。中庭には温水プールとジャグジーがあり、コンベンションの参加者らがチャプチャプしています。 |

These are rooms where we stayed. There was a room at the far end of passage of the sixth floor. The room had one king-size bed.
The bathroom and the bathtub are wide.
There were a coffee maker and a drier. It was very convenient because there was an
ice manufacture machine in front of the room.
Japanese participants (Ken Singshow-san, Yamanekoya-san, Karabiner-san, NEKO_NO_HITO-san, and Trump)stayed at a right room. American participants (Todd Starr-san, Eric Schwartz-san, Loriana-san, Sonoda-san, and Dave-san)stayed at a left room. Two rooms can be connected in the indoor door. Reven Fox-san besides us was participating from Japan. Moreover, there were rooms only of the German participants. I wanted to visit their rooms. |

| 我々の泊まった部屋は635号室で、6階の一番奥の部屋でした。部屋は既に使用中の画像ですが(^ ^;)。キングサイズのベッドが一つ、でんっと鎮座しています。ユニットバスもバスタブは広く、洗面台にはコーヒーメーカーとドライヤーが完備されています。ちょうど部屋の前にアイスマシンがあり、氷(無料)か欲しい時にはとても便利でした。
日本人の参加者達(すてけんさん、カラビナさん、山猫屋さん、NEKO_NO_HITOさんと私)が、こちらで寝泊まり。この人数でも広々と使えました。 隣の部屋にはトッド・スターさん、エリック・シュワルツさん、ロリアナさん、ソノダさん、デイブさんらアメリカ人の参加者達が宿泊。お互いの部屋は室内のドアで連結できます(これは去年と同じですね)。 皆、寝袋持参で、ベッドにあぶれた人は床で寝ます(笑)。アメリカの宿屋は日本とは違い、"一部屋幾ら"として換算されますので、大勢で泊まると安くできます。人数で割り勘でしたので、とても安く泊まれました($30位/日)。 我々の他にも日本人参加者でレベンフォックスさんが香川から参加されていました。また、我々の様に"ドイツ人だけ"のグループが一部屋あったそうです。訪問してみたかった〜。 |
| NEKO_NO_HITO-san and I arrived at the hotel after the sunset. We joined Ken Singshow-san here. We registered as a dealer at night of Thursday. We ate dinner in the nearby family restaurant (COCO'S). I ate the
chicken. Only I ordered beer
(CORONA). The bread served before the meal was a good taste. Of course, the chicken was delicious.
We finished dinner, returned to the room, and chatted. American's friends brought my favorite dark beer. Thank you!! We chatted while drinking alcohol, and drew in sketchbooks. I was able to sleep soundly at the night. |
| 私とNEKO_NO_HITOさんは日没過ぎにホテルへ到着し、すてけんさんらと合流。木曜日の前夜祭は、ディーラー登録や一般参加者の登録しかしませんでした。夜食は近くのファミレスのCOCO'Sで済ませました。食べたのはこれ。私だけビール(CORONA)を注文しました。日本のCOCO'Sとは違い、食前に無料のパンが出ます。これがまた美味い。
夜食の後、部屋へ戻って雑談。私が黒ビールが好きだと言っせいか、アメリカの友人達はわざわざ黒ビールを用意してくれました。ありがとう!。アルコールを飲みつつ雑談して就寝。朝までぐっすりです。 |

| We used the breakfast service of the tenth floor. It is free service.
However, here is a special floor. General staying guests cannot enter this floor. However, we can enter this floor by Todd-san's greatest magic. Thank you, Todd-san!
The Danish pastry, the croissant, the cereal, the fruit, and coffee, etc. are all-you-can-eat.
Let's go to the convention hall of the first floor. Opening the doors is 11 o'clock. |
| 朝、10階の無料朝食サービスを食べました。実はここ、特別な階で一般の宿泊客は入れません。トッドさんの裏技で我々は入れるのです(笑)。菓子パンやクロワッサン、シリアル、果物、コーヒーなど、バイキング形式で食べ放題。9時には片付けられてしまいます。朝から欲張り過ぎました。げふぅ。 さぁ、一階のコンベンションホールへ行きましょう。11時から開場です。 |
