| The Double Tree Hotel in San Jose is a convention hall also this year. There is a San Jose international airport in front of the hotel. | 今年もまたサンノゼのダブルツリーホテルがコンベンション会場です。ホテルの正面にサンノゼ国際空港があり、アメリカン航空の成田直行便も飛んでいます。 |

When we arrived at the hotel, the lobby had already been crowded with the people who attend many conventions.
We joined Jace-san of the artist who lives in San Jose. And, we waited for
Eric Schwartz-san to arrive.
Meanwhile, we played with great dane's puppy, and chatted as Jace-san and furry artists. Puppy's legs were bold. |
| ホテルに着くと、ロビーは既に大勢のコンベンション参加者達で賑わっていました。サンノゼ在住の作家
ジェイスさんと合流し、同室するエリック・シュワルツさんが到着するのを待ちます。ジェイスさんは当掲示板でもお馴染みですね。
その間、生後数ヶ月のグレートデンの仔犬と戯れたり、ジェイスさんや作家さん達と雑談しました。仔犬の脚の太い事太い事(笑)。 程なくエリックさんが到着し、ホテルのチェックインを済ませる。 ちなみに写真 下の"FURCON"ですが、このコンベンションが商標登録したそうで、これを名乗れるのはFURtherCONfusionだけです。 |
| This is a room (room number is 476) where we stayed. The room was on the far end of passage of the fourth floor.
It was the same as last year.
The American who shared the room with us was only Eric Schwartz-san this year. Todd Starr-san which participated every year was not able to come this year. Three Japanese who cannot speak English and American's Eric-san shared a room. Therefore, we might have given him the stress.(^ ^;) |

| 我々の泊まった部屋は476号室で、4階の一番奥でした。去年も6階の一番奥で、廊下にはアイスマシン(無料サービスの製氷機)とジュースの自販機が近くにあって便利です。
部屋は広く、ダブルベッドが二つあり、テレビ、洗面台、クローゼット、広いユニットバスがあります。 今回同室した米国人は、トッド・スターさんが来られず、エリック・シュワルツさんだけです。(英語を話せない)日本人3人に対して、(日本語を話せない)米国人1人だったので、彼にはストレスを与えてしまったかもしれません(^ ^;)。唯一の交流手段は、私が知人から借りたノート型PCに入れた翻訳ソフト。とても重宝しました。 皆、寝袋持参で、ベッドにあぶれた人は床で寝ます。アメリカの宿屋は日本とは違い、"一部屋幾ら"として換算されますので、大勢で泊まると安くできます。人数で割り勘でしたので、今年も安く泊まれました($25位/日)。 |
